BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) continues to hold meetings with local and foreign entrepreneurs in order to expand ties and implement new business initiatives, the agency told Trend.
The agency said Chairman of the board of agency Orkhan Mammadov met with the Chairman of UMAF organization in Sweden, Siavosh Derakhti.
An exchange of views took place at the meeting on the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan, the role of business incubators and mentors in the development of youth entrepreneurship and the promotion of entrepreneurial activity.
According to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee the trade turnover with Sweden exceeded $19.3 million from January through March 2022, while this figure in the same period last year amounted to $6.6 million (an increase of 192.4 percent over the year) .
