BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Anglo Asian Mining plans to start mining gold in fourth quarter of 2022 with two new gold-bearing deposits, Trend reports with reference to company.
According to company, potential of "Hasan” sub-vertical gold vein in Vejnali village of Azerbaijan’s Zangilan region is being assessed, currently, and mining plan is being developed, which is planned to start in the beginning of fourth quarter 2022.
"Anglo Asian Mining intends to start mining at the "Vejnali’ gold mine in Zangilan district. Access to the mine was obtained in late 2021 and it is safe to operate now. We have already acquired ownership of existing infrastructure, including a small processing plant,” the company said.
“Our team is based in Vejnali village and is working to start mining in the beginning of fourth quarter 2022," company added.
The area of "Vejnali" gold and copper field is about 300 square kilometers. According to preliminary forecasts, preventive reserves are about 8,800 tons of gold and 3,000 tons of copper.
Company received access to "Hasan" gold field in March 2022. Work is carried out to assess the potential of mine.
