BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Anglo Asian Mining plans to start mining zinc at new deposits of Azerbaijan’s Gadabay region in 2024, Trend reports citing the company.

Company noted that Anglo Asian Mining does not plan to renew existing contract for extraction of precious metals at Gadabay deposit.

"We plan to significantly increase copper production at new deposits in Gadabay in next two years, and start producing zinc for the first time,” company said.

“According to preliminary forecasts, 54,000-58,000 ounces of gold will be produced at existing deposits in Gadabay in 2022,” company noted.

“It is planned to start producing metals, in particular zinc. These works will contribute to expanding the range of our company's products in Azerbaijan," Anglo Asian Mining added.

Anglo Asian Mining noted that company is also working to evaluate production forecasts for 2022, taking into account the potential of Hasan sub-vertical gold vein in Vejnali village of Azerbaijan’s Zangilan region.
