BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The trade volume in Azerbaijan's Baku increased from January through April 2022, Trend reports via the Baku City Statistical Department.
According to the department, this figure amounted to 7.9 billion manat ($4.6 billion), up by 5.4 percent on annual basis.
In the first four months of this year, sales of food, beverages and tobacco products in Baku's trade network grew by 2.7 percent and totaled 4.2 billion manat ($2.4 billion).
Meanwhile, non-food product sales increased by 9.7 percent and exceeded 3.7 billion manat ($2.1 billion).
The department also noted that 37.7 percent of sold products accounted for legal entities, 35.4 percent - for trade facilities owned by individual businessmen, and 26.9 percent - for the markets of Baku.
