BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. The value of Azerbaijani goods’ export to the UK significantly grew from January through April 2022, Trend reports via the statistical bulletin of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
According to the bulletin, this figure exceeded $397.9 million, up by 4.56 times on annual basis.
In the first four months of this year, the UK’s share in the total export of Azerbaijan reached 1.37 percent.
Meanwhile, the import of the UK goods by Azerbaijan amounted to nearly $67 million, and the UK’s share in the total import of Azerbaijan equaled 1.66 percent.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the UK in 4M2022 stood at $464.8 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totally increased by $5.97 billion (60.3 percent) from January through April this year compared to the same period of 2021 - from $9.8 billion to $15.8 billion.
Exports accounted for $11.8 billion in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is a growth of $5.4 billion (85.78 percent) year on year, while the share of exports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 74.5 percent against 64.3 percent a year earlier.
Azerbaijan's imports increased by $511.6 million (14.5 percent) in 4M2022, from $3.5 billion to $4.04 billion, and the share of imports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 25.47 percent against 35.67 percent a year earlier.
