BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $15.4 billion in the first five months 2022, including non-oil exports - $1.2 billion, which is 30.9 percent more than in the same period in 2021, Trend reports citing "Export Review" of Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.

According to the review, Azerbaijani exports of fruits and vegetables increased by 6.4 percent (up to $219.2 million) during the specified period compared to January through May last year.

Azerbaijani exports of chemical products increased eightfold, aluminum and products from it - twice, ferrous metals and products from them - by 49.8 percent, cotton yarn - by 23.7 percent, cotton fiber - by 14.5 percent in the first five months compared to the same period in 2021. Azerbaijan’s exports amounted to $3.6 billion in May 2022, including $222.4 million in non-oil exports.

Azerbaijan’s non-food exports grew by 24.7 percent to $156 million, during that period, and food exports amounted to $66.4 million.
