BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Azerbaijan's exports totaled $18.5 billion in the first half of 2022, out of which $1.5 billion fell on non-oil exports (growth of 25.4 percent year-on-year), Trend reports via the "Export review" of the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

According to the review, Azerbaijani exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to $328.1 million in the reporting period, up by 7.1 percent against the same period of 2021.

From January through June 2022, Azerbaijani exports of chemical products increased five times, aluminum and products thereof – twice, ferrous metals and products thereof – by 26.1 percent, cotton yarn – by 5.2 percent, cotton fiber – by 12.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

In June 2022, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $3.1 billion, while non-oil exports accounted for $269.6 million of the total volume. During this period, Azerbaijani food exports edged up by 6.6 percent, reaching $119.6 million, whereas non-food products – by 5.1 percent, up to $149.9 million.
