BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. The passenger traffic at Ankara Esenboga İnternational Airport increased by 44 percent up to 4.7 million people, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, the passenger traffic on local flights increased by 32 percent and amounted to 3.7 million people and on international flights - by 1.12 times and amounted to 1 million people.
The airport's cargo turnover on local flights amounted to 32,784 tons during this period (an increase of 21 percent compared to July 2021), and on international flights - 19,081 tons (an increase of 91 percent).
According to the ministry, the number of flights performed in July 2022 amounted to 40,235, which is 24 percent more than in July 2021. At the same time, the number of flights performed on local routes amounted to 30,440 (an increase of 14 percent), and on international routes - 9,795 (an increase of 68 percent).
Passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 96.4 million people in July 2022, and cargo turnover – was 2.1 million tons.
