BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. One of the main achievements of the Azerbaijan Jewelers Association since its establishment was the accession of nearly 100 major market participants to it, Chairman of the Association Toghrul Abbasguliyev told Trend.
According to Abbasguliyev, this is a rather serious indicator for the jewelry sector.
"Almost all the largest and medium-sized manufacturers, all major market participants, importers and distributors have joined us," he said.
The chairman added that earlier, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, a working group was created to develop proposals for strengthening jewelry production in Azerbaijan, and these proposals were submitted to government agencies.
"Azerbaijan Jewelers Association" public union was created in February 2020, with the initiative and support of the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA). Its main mission is to turn Azerbaijan into a regional jewelry center.
