BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. Azerbaijan witnessed a rise in long-term and short-term credits in the national currency, while the demand for loans in foreign currency remained unchanged in the second quarter of 2022, Trend reports citing the survey of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The CBA expects growth in demand for long-term and short-term loans in the national currency, as well as forecasts a decrease in credit demand in foreign currency in the third quarter of 2022.

Since 2022, the Central Bank has started conducting surveys among Azerbaijani banks on lending policy.
