BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. The Council of Banks Associations of the Turkic States is going to strengthen the cooperation between the banks of participant countries of the Organization of Turkic States, President of the Azerbaijan Bank Association, Zakir Nuriyev told Trend.

According to him, the main priorities of the cooperation are the exchange of experience and the formation of legal acts and changes.

"Meanwhile, we plan to cooperate in the fields of highly qualified personnel training, the development of banking services and products, as well as the creation and modernization of the infrastructure based on modern information technology and international standards," Nuriyev said.

He added that the tools of financial support are not foreseen in the activities of the Council.

Previously, on November 4, in Istanbul, the agreement on establishing The Council of Banks Associations of the Turkic States was signed. Alpaslan Cakar, President of the Turkiye Bank Associations, was elected as the head of this organization, and Zakir Nuriyev, President of the Azerbaijan Bank Association was chosen as its deputy head.
