BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. Azerbaijan took 93rd place in the rating of 190 countries of the world in terms of GDP per capita in 2022, published by RankingRoyals agency, Trend reports via the agency.
According to the agency, the International Monetary Fund measured the GDP per capita of all countries of the world and according to the data, GDP per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to $6,842.
The agency noted that over time, the world's GDP per capita has gradually increased, and the quality of life has improved significantly.
Luxembourg had the highest GDP per capita last year. GDP per capita in this European country with a population of roughly 600,000 was approximately $127,673.
Ireland came in second place with $102,217, which is $25,456 less than the first-place country. The third and fourth positions were taken by Norway with $92,646 and Switzerland with $92,434.
According to the macroeconomic forecast, in 2023 Azerbaijan's real GDP will amount to 117.3 billion manat ($69 billion) with an increase of 3.5 percent.
Besides, the World Bank predicted the average annual GDP growth rate of Azerbaijan in 2023-2024 at a level of 2.7 percent.
