BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The average nominal wage of hired workers in Baku grew in January 2023, Trend reports via the Baku City Statistics Department.
According to the department, this figure amounted to 1,086 manat ($638.8), up by 11.5 percent compared to January last year.
The average nominal wage of hired workers in Azerbaijan grew by 11.8 percent in January 2023 on annual basis and reached 856.2 manat ($503.6).
The value of Baku's trade turnover increased by five percent and totaled 30.81 billion manat ($18.1 billion) in 2022 compared to 2021. Sales of foodstuffs, drinks, and tobacco products in Baku last year rose by 16.9 percent compared to 2021, up to 18.6 billion manat ($10.9 billion).
