BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. About 40 road tunnels are being built on the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Akif Aygen, Member of the Board of the Turkish Proyapi company in Azerbaijan, told Trend.
According to Aygen, the main part of the road tunnels is concentrated on roads under construction in the direction of the city of Shusha in Karabakh.
"The length of the longest tunnel, which will connect the city of Ganja with Kalbajar, will reach 11,638 meters. Its construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025," the member board said.
The tunnel, which is being built on the highway, will pass under the Murovdagh ridge. The groundwork of this tunnel was laid on August 21, 2021.
Aygen also pointed out that Proyapi has implemented about 50 projects in the field of construction and design of highways in Azerbaijan.
