BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Azerbaijan's total revenues from mandatory state social insurance contributions grew from January through March 2023, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan told Trend.

According to the service, this figure amounted to 1.19 billion manat ($700 million), up by 145.3 million manat ($433.37 million) or 13.9 percent year over year.

In the first quarter of this year, non-budgeted revenues (from mandatory state social insurance contributions) equaled 753.2 million manat ($443.06 million), increasing by 15.9 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The revenues from unemployment insurance grew by 17.6 percent year over year and made up 41.5 million manat ($24.4 million), of which more than 30.6 million manat ($18 million) fell on non-budgeted revenues (an increase of 26.2 percent on annual basis).

Revenues from compulsory health insurance contributions exceeded 213 million manat ($125.29 million), rising by 21.1 percent compared to the first quarter of 2022, of which over 149.5 million manat ($87.9 million) accounted for non-budgeted revenues.

Azerbaijan's revenues from mandatory state social insurance contributions amounted to 4.6 billion manat ($2.7 billion) in 2022, up by 19.2 percent or 737.8 million manat ($433.37 million) year over year.
