BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The first batch of ice cream (5.27 tons) has been exported from Russian Tomsk region to Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor).
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the products are prepared in accordance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the importing country.
Meanwhile, the export of ice cream batch is carried out by road if there is a veterinary certificate agreed with Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan's food imports from January through February 2023 increased in value terms by $22.6 million (6.69 percent) to $360.3 million.
The country imported 7,320 tons of meat worth $11.9 million, 1,890 tons of milk worth $4.2 million, 1,760 tons of dairy products in an amount of $10.398 million, 70,870 tons of vegetables and fruits worth $46.919 million, as well as 1,920 tons of tea worth over $10.297 million during the reporting period.
