BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. The cost of paid services to the population in Azerbaijan from January through May 2023 increased by 13.8 percent year-on-year and amounted to 4.42 billion manat ($2.6 billion), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the country, legal entities provided services to the population in the amount of 3.3 billion manat ($1.9 billion), which reached 75 percent of the total cost of services.
Moreover, in the first five months of this year, each resident of the country used various paid services in the amount of an average of 436 manat ($256.4), which is 63.9 manat ($37.5) more compared to the same period last year.

The cost of paid services provided to the population in Azerbaijan increased by eight percent in 2022 compared to 2021 and amounted to 9.2 billion manat ($5.4 billion). According to the State Statistics Committee, legal entities in Azerbaijan provided services to the population for seven billion manat ($4.1 billion) during this period, which made up 75.9 percent of the total volume of rendered services.
The cost of paid rendered services to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 4.8 percent in 2021 compared to 2020 and amounted to 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion).
