BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Azerbaijan exported $52.8 million worth of hazelnuts to the world market from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan, the export of hazelnuts in monetary terms increased by $0.5 million, or 0.96 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported hazelnuts to the world market in 2022 in the amount of $106.3 million, which is $2.5 million or 2.3 percent less compared to 2021.
The total value of Azerbaijan’s exports comprised $1.9 billion in January 2023, out of which $284.5 million accounted for the share of non-oil exports. This figure was 22.6 percent more compared to January 2022.
