Azerbaijan to be on “Halal Trade, Logistics & Manufacturing Expo” in South Africa (UPDATE)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Azerbaijan will be represented at the “Halal Trade, Logistics & Manufacturing Expo” exhibition, which will be held on November 9-11 in Johannesburg (South Africa), Chief Executive Officer at Islamic Chamber Halal Certification Services Ashraf Tanbouly said, Trend reports.

He made the remark during the "New Initiatives of ICHS to enter the Halal market" event at the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture held in Baku.

"The “Halal Trade, Logistics & Manufacturing Expo” exhibition aims at the global development of the African halal and related industries, attracting a wide range of industry professionals," he said.

According to him, more than 200 South African and international companies from 65 countries of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and America will participate in the exhibition.

"The “Halal Trade, Logistics & Manufacturing Expo 2023” exhibition will be attended by Halal-certified and ready-to-trade companies, buyers, leading brands, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers," he said.

The 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture began its work in Baku on July 17, 2023.

About 100 delegations from 20 member countries are represented at the meeting. Expanded delegations and entrepreneurs from a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, will take part in panels on various topics, presentations of the economic potential of the countries and meetings in the B2B format in Baku for two days, will also visit several large agricultural enterprises and sign a number of documents on cooperation.
