BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. The state budget of Azerbaijan received 69 million manat ($40.6 million) from the privatization of state property (an increase of two times) from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a total of 28 auctions on the privatization of state property were held during the reporting period.
Shares of eight joint-stock companies, 11 small state-owned enterprises, two auxiliary construction sites, and 303 cars were privatized at auctions.
In addition, as many as 167 electronic applications for state property (put up for auction) were received, and 35 online connections were made through the Electronic Auction program during the reporting period. Thanks to the activities of the auctions, 28 mineral deposits were put into operation.
The state budget of Azerbaijan received 115.4 million manat ($67.9 million) from the privatization of state property (an increase of 2.4 percent) in 2022.
