BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Azerbaijan exported 1,550 kilograms of gold to world markets from January through July 2023, down 27 percent year-on-year, Trend reports.
The data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that the value of exported gold is estimated at $72 million (23.1 percent reduction).
In addition, Azerbaijan exported in the reporting period 1,850 kilograms of silver (36.8 percent decline) worth $1.4 million (33.2 percent reduction).
The entire export of gold and 1,810 kg of silver worth $1.3 million went to Switzerland. The rest of the silver was exported to the UAE.
Earlier in 2022, Azerbaijan exported to world markets 5,480 kg of gold (9.9 percent reduction year-on-year) worth $185.2 million (8.5 percent decline) and 5,440 kg of silver (82.8 percent growth) worth $3.8 million (73.3 percent growth).
