BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. The volume of exports of Azerbaijani agro-industrial products, which occupy a significant place in the structure of non-oil and gas exports, increased by 32.8 percent from January through August 2023 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Center for Economic Reform Analysis and Communication of Azerbaijan, the volume of exports of agro-industrial products from January through August 2022 amounted to $99.8 million. In addition, this figure amounted to $132.6 million for the same period in 2023, which significantly exceeds the volume of exports of agro-industrial products last year.
In addition, the volume of exports of agricultural products amounted to $461.3 million from January through August 2023, which is 5.3 percent more than the volume of exports of agricultural products for the same period in 2022 ($438 million).
In general, the statistical value of joint exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.4 percent and amounted to $593.9 million from January through August 2023. The statistical value of the joint export of agricultural and agro-industrial products was $537.8 million in 2022.
