BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. To date, the total number of successful transactions using Azerbaijan's Epoint e-commerce platform has surpassed 425,200, co-founder of Epoint startup Hasan Hasanov told Trend.
He said that the average amount of transactions is 67.06 manat ($39.45).
"Our company specializes in technological solutions, business optimization systems, e-commerce and cashless payments," Hasanov added.
Furthermore, he stated that the total number of registered clients is now 780.
In 2022, the total number of transactions was 219,600, with an average of 63.01 manat ($37.06) and a total turnover of 13.8 million manat ($8.1 million).
According to the objectives of the "CBA Digital Payments Strategy for 2021-2023," the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) seeks to expand the share of non-cash payments using payment cards in the nation to 48 percent.
Furthermore, within the context of this strategy, it is expected to grow the market share of contactless payment cards to 75 percent.
