BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. Turkish port of Tuzla received 4 million tons of cargo from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
The data of Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure shows that 2.5 million tons of cargoes under the flag of Türkiye were transported from the port of Tuzla, and 1.4 million tons were transported by vessels under the flags of other countries.
"From January through October 2023, 84,466 tons of transit cargoes were transported from the Turkish port of Tuzla," the ministry said.
Türkiye's ports received 483,733 tons of cargo in October 2023.
During this period, cargo traffic to domestic ports by vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 million tons.
Cargo traffic to Turkish ports by vessels flying the flags of other countries amounted to 31.2 million tons.
In addition, 5.2 million tons of transit cargoes were transported from Turkish ports in October 2023.
According to the ministry, Türkiye's ports received 326.3 million tons of cargo from January through October 2023.
The cargo traffic by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 24.1 million tons from January through October 2023. By vessels flying the flags of other countries, cargo traffic to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 302.1 million tons.
About 56.9 million tons of transit cargoes were transported from Turkish ports from January through October 2023.
The ports of Türkiye received 5,581 vessels in October this year.
According to the data, the number of vessels accepted in Turkish ports under the flags of other countries during this period amounted to 3,764, and the number of vessels accepted under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 817,000.
Türkiye's ports received 51,186 vessels from January through October 2023. During this time, vessels under the flags of other countries accepted by Turkish ports amounted to 34,822 and vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 16,364.
Turkish ports received 394 million tons of cargo in 2022.
