BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan increased by 11.3 percent from January through October 2023 year-on-year and amounted to 921 manat ($541.7), Trend reports referring to the country's State Statistics Committee.
The data of the State Statistics Committee revealed that wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,491 manat ($2,050) and in the non-oil and gas sector to 872 manat ($512.9). Salaries of employees of state enterprises amounted to 886.8 manat ($521.6), and those of private enterprises were 958.5 manat ($563.8).
Additionally, according to the above data, the highest wages were recorded in the following sectors: mining, insurance and finance, information and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
