BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 11.5 billion manat ($6.7 billion) from January through November 2023, which is 3.1 percent higher year-on-year, Trend reports.
The data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that over the specified period, the production of livestock products in value terms increased by 3.3 percent (to 5.7 billion manat, or $3.3 billion), and in the field of crop production – by 2.8 percent (to 5.8 billion manat, or $3.4 billion).
In addition, 3.2 million tons of grain and legumes were harvested in Azerbaijan from an area of 948,100 hectares (99.9 percent of the total sown area) in the reporting period of 2023. The average yield was 34 quintals per hectare.
A total of 995,900 tons of potatoes were harvested (a decrease of 5.36 percent over the year), 1.8 million tons of vegetables (an increase of 0.14 percent), 438,200 tons of melons (a decrease of 6.51 percent), 1.2 million tons of fruits and berries (an increase of 0.06 percent), 222,900 tons of grapes (an increase of 5.29 percent), 1.1 million tons of green tea (an increase of 12.28 percent) on December 1.

Azerbaijan produced 538,200 tons of meat, 2 million tons of milk and 2 billion chicken eggs from January through November 2023. Meat production increased by 3.1 percent, milk – by 1.3 percent, chicken eggs – by 9.9 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In addition, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 10.9 billion manat ($6.4 billion) in 2022, which is 3.4 percent higher than in 2021, the production of livestock products in value terms increased by 3.4 percent (to 5.4 billion manat, or $3.22 billion), and in the field of crop production – by 3.3 percent (to 5.5 billion manat, or $3.23).
The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 9.2 billion manat ($5.4 billion) in 2021, which is 3.4 percent higher than in 2020.
During the specified period, production in the livestock sector increased by 2.8 percent (to 4.7 billion manat, or $6.7 billion), and in the field of crop production – by four percent (to 4.5 billion manat, or $2.6 billion).
