BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. Employees' average monthly nominal salaries in Baku climbed by 9.7 percent from January to October 2023, as compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
The data of the Baku City Statistics Department shows that this value was 1,168 manat ($687) for the reporting period.
Meanwhile, according to data from Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the average monthly nominal income of recruited workers in Azerbaijan climbed by 11.3 percent from January through October 2023 year-on-year to 921.1 manat ($541.8).
Wages in the oil and gas sector were 3,513 manat ($2,066), while wages in the non-oil and gas sector were 870 manat ($511). Employees of state enterprises were paid 885 manat ($520), while those of private enterprises were paid 957 manat ($562).
