BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. The value of paid services provided to the population in Azerbaijan in 2023 increased by 14 percent compared to 2022 and amounted to 11.4 billion manat ($6.7 billion), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion) of them came from services provided by legal entities, which amounted to 75.8 percent of the total value of services.
The public sector accounted for 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion) of the cost of paid services, and 8.8 billion manat ($5.1 billion) - for the non-governmental sector.
During 2023, each resident of the country used various paid services for an average of 1,124 manat ($661) or 205 manat ($120) more than a year ago, the ministry report says.
