BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Last year, the amount of card transactions by foreign individuals in Azerbaijan increased by 1.77 percent, or 38.1 million manat or $22.4 million (up to 2.19 billion manat or $1.29 billion), Trend reports.
The data from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan showed that this figure amounted to 202.7 million manat ($119.2 million) in December 2023.
Besides, foreign citizens in the country made card transactions worth 171.5 million manat ($100.9 million ) in January 2023, 162.3 million manat ($95.5 million ) in February 2023, 218.1 million manat ( $128.3 million) in March 2023, 126 million manat ($74.1 million) in April 2023, 173.4 million manat ($102 million) in May 2023, 148.6 million manat ($87.4 million) in June 2023, 218.8 million manat ($128.7 million ) in July 2023, 200.9 million manat ($118.2 million) in August 2023, 186.9 million manat ($109.9 million) in September 2023, 203.6 million manat ($119.8 million) in October 2023, and 181.8 million manat ($106.9 million) in November 2023.
To note, foreign citizens in Azerbaijan made transactions worth 2.15 billion manat ($1.26 billion) using bank cards in 2022.
