BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. Analysts at the Dutch ING forecast that Azerbaijan will maintain a de facto peg of the manat to the US dollar at 1.7 manat to one dollar at least until 2026, Trend reports.
Analysts believe it will be due to a major reduction in pressure on the manat.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan maintained the national currency's exchange rate to the US dollar at 1.7 manat in 2017 to manage inflation.
It is worth noting that the Asian Development Bank and the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings both predict the national currency to remain tied to the dollar until 2026.
