IMF foretells Azerbaijan's nominal non-oil GDP volume by 2028

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Azerbaijan's nominal non-oil GDP is expected to reach 86.3 billion manat ($50.7 billion) in 2024, Trend reports via the report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In reference to IMF projections, this figure will reach 93.8 billion manat ($55 billion) in 2025, 101.49 billion manat ($59.7 billion) in 2026, 109.2 billion manat ($64.2 billion) in 2027, and 117.5 billion manat ($69 billion) in 2028.

Meanwhile, the IMF report was created following meetings in Baku in November 2023 in accordance with Article IV of the agreement on "Establishment of the IMF," led by Anna Bordon, head of the foundation's mission for Azerbaijan.

To note, the country's GDP in 2023 was 123 billion manat ($72.35 billion), with real economic growth anticipated at 1.1 percent.

In the GDP structure, industry accounted for 40.5 percent, trade and vehicle repair accounted for 10 percent, transportation and warehousing for 6.2 percent, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries for 5.5 percent, construction for 6.2 percent, tourist accommodation and catering facilities for 2.2 percent, the information and communication sector for 1.7 percent, and other sectors for 18.6 percent.

The share of taxes in GDP amounted to 9.1 percent.

In 2023, GDP per capita amounted to 12,114 manat or $7,126.
