BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) anticipates that Eurasia's oil production in 2024 will reach 13.65 mb/d, Trend reports.
Specifically, the region's output is expected to be 13.55 mb/d in the first quarter of 2024, showing a slight increase to 13.66 mb/d in the second quarter, further growing to 13.67 mb/d in the third quarter, and reaching 13.74 mb/d in the fourth quarter.
Russia, being the largest producer in the region, is projected to experience a marginal decrease in its liquids output, dropping from an expected 10.75 mb/d in 2023 to 10.72 mb/d in 2024.
Kazakhstan, ranking second among the largest producers in the region, is expected to have an output of 1.92 mb/d in 2024, slightly down from 1.96 mb/d in 2023.
Although the forecast for the region's output has been revised up, compared to previous assessments (approximately by 0.02 mb/d), Eurasia's liquids production for the entire year is forecasted to decline from the estimated 13.72 mb/d in 2023 and 13.84 mb/d in 2022.
