BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. Iran's crude output in February 2024 totaled 3,148 mb/d, Trend reports.
As per OPEC's data, the country's oil production in the reporting period declined by 15,000 b/d month-on-month from 3,163 mb/d in January 2024.
Compared to December 2023, Iran's oil output in the reporting period decreased by 24,000 b/d from 3,172 mb/d. Overall, in 4Q2023, the country's crude output amounted to 3,154 mb/d.
As per OPEC's secondary sources, Iran's oil production is calculated to have achieved 2,859 mb/d throughout 2023, indicating a year-on-year increase of 305,000 b/d.
Meanwhile, based on information from OPEC's secondary sources, the combined crude oil production of the OPEC-12 countries hit an average of 26.57 mb/d in February 2024. This marked an increase of 203,000 b/d, compared to the previous month.
The rise in crude oil output was primarily seen in Libya and Nigeria, whereas Iran and Iraq experienced a decrease in production.
