BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. The volume of collected insurance premiums on property insurance in Azerbaijan from January through February this year amounted to 39.726 million manat, or $23.37 million, which exceeds the data for the same period of the previous year by 11.2 percent, Trend reports.
According to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), payments totaling 5.424 million manat, or $3.2 million, were recorded for the corresponding period, indicating a 47.3 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Therefore, 13.7 manat ($8) of payments are made for every 100 manat ($59) of the contribution this year, while last year this indicator amounted to 10.3 manat, or $6.
Meanwhile, 17 insurance companies in Azerbaijan gathered a total of 239.7 million manat ($140.8 million) of insurance premiums from January through February of the current year, which is 8.4 percent more compared to the same period last year.
