Azerbaijan's oil output rises in April, OPEC says

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14. Azerbaijan's crude production in April 2024 has been estimated at 484,000 b/d, Trend reports.

According to OPEC's latest report, the country's oil output in the reporting period increased by 4,000 b/d month-on-month (480,000 b/d in March 2024).

This volume also increased by 7,000 b/d, compared to February 2024 output (477,000 b/d).

At the same time, in 1Q2024, Azerbaijan's daily crude output totaled 477,000 barrels - down by 10,000 b/d from 487,000 b/d in 4Q2023, and by 19,000 b/d from 496,000 b/d in 3Q2023, OPEC says.

As per OPEC's data, the combined non-OPEC Declaration of Cooperation (DoC) crude oil production averaged 14.44 mb/d in April 2024, marking a decrease of 198,000 b/d) compared to the previous month. Crude oil output saw a notable increase primarily in Bahrain, while production declined in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, in April 2024, Azerbaijan's daily oil production hit 480,000 barrels, as reported by S&P Global Commodity Insights, referencing Platts data. Although Azerbaijan's OPEC+ quota for 2024 stood at 551,000 b/d, actual production in April fell short at 480,000 b/d. The document highlights Azerbaijan's lag behind the OPEC+ quota by 71,000 b/d in April.
