BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 18. Masdar, TotalEnergies, and EPointZero have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) agreement to support clean energy access in emerging markets across Africa and Asia, Trend reports.
The partnership aims to develop renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage, to contribute to energy transition efforts in these regions.
The agreement follows discussions between UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron, reinforcing bilateral cooperation in climate action and energy.
Masdar and TotalEnergies will work together to provide reliable electricity to African communities and explore new opportunities in Southeast Asia. TotalEnergies and EPointZero will also collaborate to support India's clean energy goals.
The signing took place during the UAE-France High Level Business Council meeting in Paris, attended by senior officials and industry leaders. The initiative aligns with the UAE-France Comprehensive Strategic Energy Partnership and broader efforts to accelerate the global energy transition.
