BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Azerbaijan and
Moldova are witnessing a significant increase in trade turnover,
the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Rovnag Abdullayev said
in at the Azerbaijan-Moldova business forum, Trend reports.
"Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova from January
through February 2025 rose by 26.6 percent, reaching $1.3 million.
I am confident that we will sustain this positive growth trend
moving forward," he said.
The deputy minister reported that by the end of last year, trade
turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova had surpassed $10
million.
Abdullayev also highlighted that currently, 20 Moldovan
companies are registered in Azerbaijan, operating across sectors
including transport, industry, construction, and trade.
"It is also worth noting the positive shifts in the tourism sector.
In 2024, tourist flow between Azerbaijan and Moldova grew by nearly
13 percent. National airlines continue to operate regular flights,
and starting in May, daily flights will be introduced to further
strengthen tourism connections," he said.
