Turkmen Ministry of Construction and Architecture has selected the contractor to build an administrative building of research seismic engineering institute, Trend reports citing Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on March 3.
The ministry announced a tender to construct the research institute building in September 2019.
According to a decree of the president of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture was assigned to conclude a contract for the design and construction of the research institute’s administrative building in the Turkmen capital jointly with “Kamil Ymarat” individual enterprise.
It is planned to equip the building with external utilities for electric, gas, water supply and sewage, with landscaping of the adjacent territory.
The decree also prescribes to begin the construction work in early 2020 and fully commission the facility in September 2021.
Currently, the work on implementation of a Program on Mitigating Seismic Risks in Areas of High Seismic Activity is underway in Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen Ministry of Construction and Architecture carries out activities to ensure safe social, economic, and environmental conditions for the population living in the zones of high seismic activity, to determine and take into account the level of seismic hazards, as well as to reduce the impact of potential earthquakes.
