Turkish companies to help Uzbekistan implement chemical sector projects

Uzkimyosanoat JSC (Uzbekistan) signed a memorandum on joint implementation of projects in chemical industry with Turkish company Calik Enerji Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the company.

“Within the framework of the memorandum, the sides envisaged cooperation regarding the investment projects, on organization of production of methanol based production and organization of linear alkylbenzene production,” the message said.

The volume of investments will make $458.6 million. As a result, it is planned to create 135 new jobs and produce goods for 1.4 trillion soum ($138.3 million).

Uzkimyosanoat JSC was established in March 2001 on the basis of the association of chemical industry enterprises of the same name. It consists of 43 chemical enterprises and organizations.

At present, the enterprises of the industry are implementing projects worth about $2 billion.

Calik Enerji is a Turkish energy company of the Calık Holding, which was established in 1998. The Company offers power generation, power systems, refinery, pipelines, electricity, and natural gas distribution. Calik Enerji Sanayi Ve Ticaret serves customers worldwide.
