Uzbekistan's Ahangarancement JSC plans to commission a plant for production of high grade dry cement in the fall 2020, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan National News Agency.

The construction of the plant is jointly handled by Ahangarancement and Russia's Eurocement Group Holding. The total cost of the project is $160 million. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for September 2020.

As of today, six investment projects related to construction materials production are being implemented in Tashkent region.

"Modern energy-saving equipment manufactured at German and Chinese enterprises has been brought and installed at the plant. The equipment will allow to save natural gas and electric energy up to 60 percent and increase production volume several times. Special filters help prevent environmental pollution," the report says.

The new plant will create 400 new job spots, and the annual production will amount to three million tons of high-quality dry cement.

Ahangarancement is capable to produce about 2.2 million tons of cement annually. In Uzbekistan, the plant is second after Kyzylkumcement, which has a production capacity of 3.8 million tons of cement per year.
