Uzbekistan's JSC Navoiazot is preparing for the joint launch of ammonia and carbamide complex together with Japanese Mitsubishi, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek company.
“Navoiazot is implementing projects to build ammonia production facility with a capacity of 660,000 tons and carbamide production facility with a capacity of 577,500 tons. The total cost of the project is $985 million,” the message said.
Within the framework of the project, agreements were concluded with a consortium of Japanese companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation on a turnkey basis.
Enter Engineering Ltd that is engaged in the construction of the facility is one of the leading companies specializing in the construction of industrial facilities in Uzbekistan today. Licensors are Danish Haldor Topsoe, Italian Saipem and German Uhde Fertilizer Technology.
The sources of financing are credit resources of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and own funds of JSC Navoiazot. It was planned to attract a loan from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
Navoiazot is the largest chemical enterprise in Uzbekistan, which was put into operation in 1964. The plant specializes in production of nitrogen fertilizers, nitron fiber, as well as integrated products of organic synthesis.
