The construction of a 100,000-tons grain warehouse in the Garmsar County of Iran's Semnan Province is nearing completion, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the CEO of Government Trading Corporation of Iran, Yazdan Seif said, Trend reports citing the ministry.
The CEO emphasized that this warehouse will play a major role in supplying grain to the Iranian capital.
The deputy minister added that with the launch of this warehouse, the main problems of Iran'sgrain supply in these areas will be resolved.
Seif noted the warehouse on 10 hectares land is planned to be launched by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021).
There is 90 percent progress in the construction of the Garmsar warehouse. The Islamic Development Bank has invested about 19 million euros and the Iranian government 190 billion rials (about $4.52 million) in the construction of the warehouse.
