With the financial support of the Bank of Georgia and in cooperation with Jolio Ltd. a vegetable oil production plant is under construction in Poti, Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Construction of the plant will be completed in mid-November and the company will start bottling its products in test mode.
The company will employ 40 people.
The total cost of the project is $4 million. The $5 million loan will be used to purchase additional equipment.
The plant will be able to process 3,000 tons of sunflower per month, which is equivalent to the production of about 1 million bottles of refined oil.
In addition, it is planned to sell sunflower seeds obtained from sunflower processing, which are used for animal feed.
