Azerbaijan's housing agency talks further plans on building residential complexes

The State Housing Construction Agency (MIDA) of Azerbaijan has implemented 6 construction projects from 2016 through 2020, Head of the agency's staff, Farman Gurbanli, told Trend.

According to Gurbanli, within these projects, 3,279 families were provided with apartments by 2020.

"In the next two years, we’re going to provide 6,820 more families with housing. Apartments will be provided to our citizens in 'Hovsan', 'Yasamal', 'Yasamal-2', 'Ganja' and 'Sumgayit' residential complexes," the agency representative said.

Moreover, by late 2021, it is planned to launch the sale of apartments in the 'Sumgayit' and 'Ganja' residential complexes, he added.

"The agency is working to provide housing for citizens in need. As part of this activity, in 2020, in the cities of Lankaran and Sumgayit, our agency was allocated certain land plots for the construction of residential complexes. At present, preparations for the start of construction work are underway in Sumgayit city," Gurbanli said.

The agency representative also noted that such activities are also planned to be carried out in the districts of Azerbaijan.
