The foundation of 5,420 apartments will be laid in the Yazd Province (central Iran), Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami will also attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
According to the report, the foundations of the apartments will be laid in 5 cities of Yazd Province. The apartment will be built within the framework of the Iranian National Housing Plan.
Furthermore, about 700 km of repaired roads in Iran's Yazd Province will be re-commissioned. About 480 billion rials (about $11.4 million) was spent on road repairs in the province.
According to the Mehr Housing Plan in Iran, about 90 percent are provided with a 99-year lease, and the rest is in the form of a down payment and a loan.
In total, 30,600 apartments will be handed over to citizens by the end of the current Iranian government (August 2021).
A total of 9.49 trillion rials (about $225 million) was spent on the construction of these apartments.
