Apartments to be put into operation in Iran

In total, 41,000 apartments will be put into operation in Iran under the Iranian National Housing and Mehr Housing Plans by the end of the current government in Iran (until August 2021), Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran on Housing and Construction issues, Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The deputy minister noted that about 35,000 apartments will be put into operation in the country under the mentioned two plans this month (May 22 through June 21, 2021).

"In addition, the construction of 530,000 apartments has been launched in the country under the National Housing Plan," Mahmoudzadeh added.

As reported, a total of 4.06 million apartments had been built in Iran from the beginning of work of the current government (in 2013) to the end of the preceding Iranian year (March 19, 2020).

About 3,000 hectares of land have been allocated in Iran so far for the construction of housing under the National Housing Plan. A total of 1.04 million people were registered to own housing in the country under the National Housing Plan.

About 195,000 of them were found to meet the conditions. About 125,000 people made payments within the plan.

More than 1 million apartments were handed over to citizens under the Mehr Housing Plan in Iran by the end of last Iranian year (March 20, 2021), and 100,000 more apartments are planned to be handed over to citizens under this plan.
