By Amina Nazarli - Trend:

A new modern administrative center is being built in Turkmenistan’s Akhal region with the participation of 62 Turkmen private companies that are members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), as well as 5 state-owned enterprises, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan.

The new center's construction is planned in two stages, with a $1.5 billion budget. In the first stage, it is planned to build 336 facilities including 11 public and 26 administrative buildings, 19 educational institutions, 258 two- and multi-family buildings, 8 medical and sports facilities, and 14 internal and external engineering systems and structures.

The project prioritizes the creation of parks and green spaces in the new modern administrative center.

Given that the Akhal region's new center is being built in a beautiful location in the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains on an area of more than 1,000 hectares, green technologies will be widely used here to preserve the natural beauty of this picturesque area.

The general contractors of the project launched in April 2019 are Ajayp bina, Döwlet Gurluşyk, and Gujurly Binagär are among them, as are individual enterprises eper Gurluşyk, Aktab, Ussat inener, and Nur bina Gurluşyk.

Contractors and subcontractors were exempt from customs duties, taxes, and fees for foreign exchange transactions when performing construction work.
