Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend U.Ismayilova / A total number of 60,155 families were provided with targeted social aid in Azerbaijan during January to August 2007, which comprised 49.6% of all applicants of the grant, the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Azerbaijan said.
The amount of targeted social aid for one member of the family was AZN 16.36, while the average amount of the aid for one family was AZN 77.98. The number of family members who received the benefits during this period was 286,759.
In this period 159,060 families has appealed for targeted social aid, and 130,931 of them were registered.
