Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) voiced its wish to continue the political talks in Azerbaijan with the Government, business people and foreign investors regarding the actions necessary for improving the investment climate, including legal reforms and institutional development, mentioned by the EBRD strategy for Azerbaijan.
The bank intends to assist in improving the investment climate in close co-operation with the other international financial institutions and donors.
In addition, the EBRD supports specific measures planned to be taken by the Government of Azerbaijan to improve the business climate in non-oil sector. The talks will also be directed towards the reforms in the energy generating sector and participation of the private sector in it.
The EBRD will also render technical assistance for the institutional establishment of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan and formation of updated tariff council.
