Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) has chosen ten pilot banks to approve its operations for the Centre on Communal Payments. The banks are the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Capital Bank, Azdamiryolbank, Bank of Baku, Ata Bank, Rabitabank, and others.
The Centre will operate through a national payment system on small NBA payments (HONKS). The banks have to implement the necessary software and computers by 20 October. The entire process should be completed by the end of November.
Creation of the Centre enables consumers to transfer money through on-line payments and to receive an updated report.
Some 650,000 operations have been implemented through the HONKS system within the last eight months.
